What are grow bags?
Grow bags are pots which are designed with fabric for 3 main reasons.
1. Healthy roots 2. Temperature control 3. Avoids over watering
Healthy roots: These pots are made up of fabric having many small invisible holes. These holes help air flow reach to the roots of a plant. When root senses air, it stops growing and encircling the pot which makes root healthier. The roots become “air pruned” which is vital to growing healthy plants in containers. In traditional plastic pot, When the roots reach the edge of a plastic pot they continue growing in search more water and nutrients only to begin encircling the pot. This begins the process of structural damage to your plants. The roots become constricted leading to less water and nutrient intake.
Temperature control: In traditional pot, in summer season or when pot is directly exposed to sunlight, it gets hotter and due to lack of holes in a pot, all the heat is trapped inside the pot. This makes soil hotter and roots of the plant are damaged. Grow bags maintain air circulation and heat doesn’t get trapped inside the pot, controlling the temperature.
Avoids over watering: Grow bags drain execessive water and maintain proper water level inside the pot. The moisture / water required for the plant is hold by soil and roots. The exessive water is drained through small holes avoiding over watering. Over waterning causes fungus on plants and damages the roots drastically.
In short, grow bags are organic, specially designed, eco friendly bags made of fabric which helps growth of your plant.

What are advantages of grow bags?
Healthier Root System – Encourage root pruning rather than root circling
Temperature Control – Shed excess heat through breathable fabric
Prevents Over-watering – Excess water will percolate through the fabric material
Easy Storage – Can we folded up and stored with minimal space
Versatile – Can be easily moved or planted directly in the ground
Grow bags disadvantages
Cold: Grow bags are not as protective on cold nights. Grow bags are more breathable than pots, but this comes at the expense of insulation. Grow bags allow more heat to escape, and the soil inside will get cooler on cold nights. This can kill plants left outside in grow bags if you get a late spring frost or early fall frost. The best way to avoid this problem is to check the weather forecast regularly.
Best Plants for grow bags
